2012 NBA Rookies' Photos

As a follow up to my previous post, I am posting photos of the new faces of the NBA next season. Familiarize yourself with them as they may be the next big stars soon.

From Anthony Davis to Robert Sacre (60th overall), let us witness how these youngsters develop into established NBA stars. I know all of you just can't wait for the next NBA season to start.

The Hornets nab the consensus number one pick, Anthony Davis of Kentucky



They also get Duke's Austin Rivers for their 10th overall pick

At #6, Damian Lillard (Weber State) will run the show at Portland

At #30, they also draft Vanderbilt big man Festus Ezeli 


And at 35, they get battle tested Draymond Green of Michigan State

UConn's Jeremy Lamb is Houston's first pick in this draft (12th overall)

 

UNC's Kendall Marshall goes to Phoenix at 13


Marshall's college teammate gets drafted a spot behind him by the Bucks to round out the lottery picks


Maurice Harkless of St. John's goes to Philadelphia at 15


Talented and versatile Royce White of Iowa State goes to Houston at 16


Tyler Zeller completes the list of UNC draft hopefuls when he gets drafted by the Mavs at #17, but was part of a pre-arranged deal to go to the Cavs


Terrence Jones of Kentucky was the Rockets last pick in the first round (18th overall)


Andrew Nicholson of St. Bonaventure's was drafted at 19 by the Magic


The first international player was taken at #20 when the Nuggets select Evan Fournier of France


Ohio State's Jared Sullinger may be the steal of the draft at 21 for the Boston Celtics. Teams were afraid to draft this big man high due to the medical red flags given to him by NBA doctors.


Fab Melo of Syracuse gets picked by Boston as well at #22


Vandy's Sharpshooter John Jenkins gets picked at 23 by the Hawks


Cavaliers draft Jared Cunningham of Oregon State at #24 and was the main piece sent to Dallas for the Tyler Zeller trade


Tony Wroten Jr. of Washington will back up Mike Conley Jr. at the point for the Grizzlies


A look at the Celtics rookies, Melo (13), Sullinger (7) and Kris Joseph (43) who was drafted 51st overall. He also happens to be Melo's college teammate at Syracuse


The Pacers pick Miles Plumlee of Duke at #26


Miami picks Arnett Moultrie of Mississippi State at 27 but trades him to Philadelphia for the rights to 2nd round pick Justin Hamilton and a future first rounder


Inconsistent but top five talent Perry Jones of Baylor slides down until 28 but was happily selected by the Oklahoma City franchise to add to their already versatile frontline


Marquis Teague of Kentucky gets picked by the Bulls at 29 to take over the point guard duties while Derrick Rose is recuperating from injury. And yes he is Hawks Jeff Teague's younger brother


Jeffrey Tayor of Vanderbilt, a defensive specialist, goes to the Bobcats at 31 as he opens the 2nd round of the draft


Tomas Satoransky of the Czech Republic was nabbed by Washington at #32


Air Force veteran (you read that right) and Florida State center Bernard James was picked by the Cavs at 33 and was eventually traded to the Mavericks as part of the Zeller deal. He is the oldest rookie at 27 years old.


Marquette star Jae Crowder was picked by the Cavs at 34 then shipped to the Mavs to complete their draft day deal


Cunningham, James and Crowder, the Mavs rookie trio who all hope to crack Rick Carlisle's rotation next season
